Firstly, a huge thank you to everyone who has bought Last of the Magpies, which was published two weeks ago. It hit the top ten in the UK on publication day and the reviews so far are fantastic. We also had a fun Facebook party (with hardly any technical glitches!) and all the prizes have been sent out to the people whose names were drawn from the hat.

Secondly, I need your help! You may recall that last year The Lucky Ones was shortlisted for a Dead Good reader award. These awards mean a lot because they are voted for by the people who really count: readers like you. Now nominations are open again and I would be hugely grateful if you could vote for one of my books.

The Retreat is eligible for two of the awards: The Cancel All Plans Award and the Most Recommended Award. You could also vote for Lucy Newton in the Most Elusive Villain category. Nominations close on 20th May and one lucky winner will get £100 of crime books. It will take one or two minutes of your time.

Coming soon… Here To Stay

I’m very excited to reveal the cover of my next full-length novel, Here To Stay, which will be published on 1 September 2019. I’m particularly excited about this book, which is about the in-laws from hell, and am confident that if you liked my early novels like The MagpiesBecause She Loves Me and Follow You Home, you’ll love this one.

A beautiful home. A loving wife. And in-laws to die for.

Gemma Robinson comes into Elliot’s life like a whirlwind, and they marry and settle into his home. When she asks him if her parents can come to stay for a couple of weeks, he is keen to oblige – he just doesn’t quite know what he’s signing up for.

The Robinsons arrive with Gemma’s sister, Chloe, a mysterious young woman who refuses to speak or leave her room. Elliot starts to suspect that the Robinsons are hiding a dark secret. And then there are the scars on his wife’s body that she won’t talk about . . .

As Elliot’s in-laws become more comfortable in his home, encroaching on all aspects of his life, it becomes clear that they have no intention of moving out. To protect Gemma, and their marriage, Elliot delves into the Robinsons’ past. But is he prepared for the truth?

From the two million copy bestselling author comes a tale about the chilling consequences of welcoming strangers into your home.

Here To Stay will be available as a Kindle ebook, paperback, audiobook and hardcover book.
